Legacy Volleyball has a rich history of success with seven state tournament appearances and, recently, five consecutive conference championships. Long term coach, Rolly Rudzitis, announced his retirement after the end of the 2024 season, and we are excited to announce Kristin Dew has been hired to lead this new era of Legacy Volleyball.
Coach Dew has a wealth of experience in the Legacy Volleyball program. Coach Kristin was responsible for running the Lion middle school program from 2017 until her family moved to Kentucky in 2022. Kristin was awarded the 2021 3D Coach of the Year Award because of her commitment to enriching the talents of the middle school players while also showcasing her dedication to discipleship. During her time in Kentucky, Coach Dew has worked for Portland Christian School as the Middle School Program Director and for Mid America Volleyball Association as a 16-1 Club Coach.
“Kristin immediately impressed our interview committee with her heart for the Lord and mentoring young women to know and love Christ. Coach Dew invested in so many of our athletes’ lives while she was coaching here and she continued to invest in those relationships while she was across the country. This showed us that she views discipleship as a life-long commitment and is dedicated to pointing our young ladies’ hearts to Christ. Kristin has a humble, vibrant personality while also being deeply competitive and committed to growth,” says Athletic Director, Nathan Bellefeuille. “We have no doubt that Coach Dew will uphold our commitment to training disciples of Jesus to be courageous competitors for Christ.”
“I cherished my time in the middle school program and I am excited to build on the foundations of my middle school experience to create a similar sense of community and excitement in the high school program. My goal is to ensure the entire program maintains consistency as players move from middle school to high school,” says Coach Dew. “Under my leadership, players and parents can expect a culture of honor, respect and integrity. We will measure everything we say and do against the Word of God and strive to be leaders in our school who are a reflection of the heart of Christ. I am excited to meet with our coaching staff and plan for the upcoming season and I am excited to start connecting with the young women in our program!”
Kristin Dew has been married to her husband, Brian, for 16 years and have three daughters, Ivy, Hope, and Quinn. They will be moving back to Minnesota this summer and are very excited to be back in the Legacy community!
