On Saturday, September 9, 2023, Legacy Christian Academy hosted their largest community gathering of the year–the Mane Event. Each year, over 600 racers, including Legacy students, parents, and local community members, register for the free, fun-filled, and family-friendly tradition. Young runners have the opportunity to compete in the ⅓ mile Cub Run. Braver and older students and parents can challenge themselves to the 1.5 mile Lion Run obstacle course featuring sand dunes, a lily pad water walk, a mud crawl, oatmeal pits, a giant slip-n-slide and so much more!

This year, the entire community was also invited to visit one of the eleven Legacy Business Sponsor booths, where people could enter drawings, play carnival games including a ring toss and plastic ax throw, or pick up swag from a local business or university. In addition, Andover Pizza Ranch partnered with Legacy Christian Academy to provide pizzas for over 900 racers and guests. It goes without saying that this event couldn’t happen without the countless hours of volunteering from Legacy parents and staff, but it is an event worth every second of Legacy’s time. 

What’s particularly special about this day is the opportunity for the vibrant Legacy community to gather and have fun, make lasting memories, and enjoy the fellowship of one another. It is a day Legacy looks forward to every single year.
